Description
Wherever in the galaxy this creation-forsaken world happened to be.....his ignorance of his location a given, considering how he'd arrived here..........this planet gave all of the appearance of being completely and utterly desolate. The gravitational strains on this world were enormous, caused by the near proximity of this planet's binary: and this gravitational tug-of-war caused unceasing seismic activity on this world. Plumes of volcanic toxins spewed into the atmosphere; the atmosphere itself was unbreathable, and would instantly kill from so much as a whiff of it. The ambient temperatures at this latitude were high, well into 80 C and beyond, standard. This was not a welcoming place.
His Pilot-rated Tech suit was tough, designed for working in full vacuum. But this particular planetside environment featured harsh corrosives, coupled with intense heat. He'd probably be alright, though.....as long as he carefully -- very carefully -- maintained his equipment.
He briefly considered crossing over to the binary, to investigate there. But he suspected that environmental conditions would prove to be even more hostile on the binary world. He'd need to determine as best he could the lay of the land in this place -- the place where it looked like he was well and truly stranded.
