OK, before I waffle on about this image I would like to say a HUGE and MASSIVE thank you to Propschick, without who's work this little project would never have got off the ground. This all started out with a request from my sister to design her a tattoo of a steampunk fairy, so I duly fired up Google to look for some inspiration. I came across one of Propschick's images here at renderosity that set the old neurons firing and I set off sourcing all the bits I would need for my design. Once the design was completed I decided I wanted to evolve it further to produce a series of characters using different base meshes and outfits that were not too Steampunk, but also not too Fairy in their design. I also used this as a good project to learn more more about Daz Studio's materials and lighting systems. This image is a direct evolution of that initial design but using some of my own textures to help differentiate it from the original and the others in the series. The base mesh for this one is Toon Amy from 3D universe, props and outfits listed below. More to follow and once again thanks to Propschick for the inspiration....
