We had a discussion about how hard it is to create something like this. It's a nice composition I have to say, but not that hard to recreate. I moddeled and rendered it within 1 hour.
It proves that the C4D renderengine is still very good and fast. (IE the pic above was rendered 3times faster than the original rendered with fR).

Did you simulate the GI/bounced light or does C4D actually have the right ligting math?

I didn't simulate GI. C4D's renderengine is based on an old fR renderengine, that will probably have something to do with it. The settings are pretty good I think. And my machine is a P4 2ghz with 256mb ddr333.
