What a great depth, fantastic ship and outstanding view this image has, Corrie. Een prachtprent, ik dacht eerst dat ik de loop van twee kanonnen zag, die op het schip waren gericht; maar dat zou niet zo 'safe' zijn geweest, hè? ;-)

This is a really strong scene and I like your decision to go with a muted color story. All the browns definitely contribute to the somber tone and the hint of impending violence. I'm having a little trouble with the composition,though. The lighting is emphasizing the foreground (the stone battlements are the visual focus for the image because they are the brightest lit) and the ship is almost too lost in the haze (being somewhat lost is good -- there's nothing wrong with making us hunt through an image to find the hidden treasure). But in this case, I can't help but wonder if a shaft of light on the ship might help take this image to the next level... Oh well... please disregard my quibbles with the render; I'm just being nitpicky. This is a great image -- thanks for sharing it.
