Description
I was not entirely happy with my previous version so I re-worked it.
The composition is essentially the same.
I changed the color of the uniforms to brighten the scene a little. The dolman (jacket loosely slung over the left shoulder) merged with the rest of the uniform because it was the same dark blue.
I added some vegetation and a rock and boulder strewn valley floor - like these guys don't have enough of a challenge facing "Cannons to the right of them, cannons to the left of them, etc."*
I also added more tiers to increase the number of riders but still not even close to " ...the six hundred"*... (That's for an East-coast Floridian like me (Melbourne/Cape Kennedy) saying I took ten step to the West so now I'm a lot closer to the Gulf of Mexico - LoL... )
And finally, I rendered the scenes using a wide-angle lens point of view to force the perspective for greater impact. ( ....and still no boobs or my patented, trademark nip-slip)
Comments and criticisms are always welcome. Thank you for viewing and thanks to those who commented on my previous version ( ...click for big).

I changed the genre from 'Military' to 'Historical'. I figure that perhaps it'll get a few more hits/comments...
* excerpted from Alfred, Lord Tennyson's 'The Charge of the Light Brigade' ( ...obviously).

Very well done. A dramatic scene in the style of a historical painting.
