Description
No, this cove wasn't named after Homer or Bart, but after Louis Simpson, a lumber baron who owned the coastal property on which it's located. He was fabulously wealthy, but his financial empire was decimated by the Great Depression & he eventually went into bankruptcy. The mortgage holder sold this coastal property to the state of Oregon & it eventually became Shore Acres State Park, which in addition to spectacular coastline is home to a beautiful botanical garden...

Well done. Absolutely stunning.

The feeling of movement in the foreground, the sense that the wave is just about to roll back in, makes this incredible! That, and the colors. And the detail of the textures of that marvelous eroding lava. Well, and the composition. Never mind. The whole thing is spectacular!!
