Description
I'm now living in the middle of the desert in a mining town in Western Australia. Here is a picture I took of one of the trees that are out here. This was on the way to one of the many gorges that are out here where the snakes a huge, the dirt is red and it's so very hot.
Thank you for looking

A fine composition with great leading lines and strong conrasting red and blue. A polarizer would have done wonders for the this cloudy sky. Was the tree burned?

you know.. I have no idea what a polarizer is.. I'm just a 'point and click' person. LOL I'm not too sure about whether the tree was burnt or not, but there seems to be a few around and not all together.

It looks like something from a game of thrones... ;)

An interesting tree. Is that bark real. It looks burnt - and yet not. I can never get over the colour if the soil there. Amazing. I bet it's fertile stuff. No wonder it grows trees like that. FYI, brewgirlca is just referring to a polarising filter that can be screwed to a camera lens to make the contrast of the sky come out, thereby making the blue darker against the clouds.
