Description
This is the Alien Mothership by Simon-3D and it's a good model, but I intend to use it in closeups and it is a huge model, so I pulled it into Blender to smooth out the mesh. I also changed some details including adding a central landing bay for all the entry tunnels in the lower half and put more guns on it - it looks great now but then there is always a down side, in this case the OBJ file was 176 Mb when I had finished. I was concerned that DAZ Studio might not like that but it didn't even notice ! .
Does it look good? you judge.
No page today folks, it's still in the works - but we have a long weekend, hopefully I will have one finished sometime monday.

Great job! I wouldn't know a mesh if I tripped over it much less be able to do anything with it. My hat is off to you.

Hi Prof, nice work and I'm so impatient to follow its adventures. About the size of the mesh, and some scenes in it, except to do a Space render with the entire mothership, should it be possible to divide it by 6(max.) as nobody can be at one place and another at the same time (render) ?
