Description
On Triandor, as well as the Cajjica there was another order of mystics known as the Madray.
Unlike the Cajjica that practiced "white" magic, the Madray practiced all forms of magic. Since dark magic had led to the problems across the realms from the Andorans the Cajjica refused to acknowledge the Madray despite the fact that it was with their help that the Cajjica created the barrier to protect Triandor.
When the Andorans eventually broke the barrier it was the Madray that responded first, delaying the advance of the dark mages and darklings until help could be found. Atlantya perhaps the strongest of their order approached the Cajjica and when it was decided to assemble the twelve warriors, Xador asked for her assistance.
Though he knew that in the pair of them leaving their realm could be fall he reckoned once the warriors were found they could take back Triandor. Despite Xador's protests the Cajjica High Council refused to accept the request for help from the Madray until Atlantya revealed the Madray had found evidence that not all the Elder Gods might have been destroyed.
As the High Council deliberated the Citadel was attacked and Xador refused to wait for their answer. Taking the twelve crystals he used his unique abilities to open a portal to another realm and took Atlantya with him.
As a Madray, Atlantya is well versed in most forms of magic. They had a simple philosophy of protecting others by any means necessary. They see the use of dark magic as a means of fighting fire with fire. Another indication of their means to eliminate threats is the fact they use polearms instead staffs. The Cajjica would never consider carrying a bladed weapon but the Madray believe if their magic fails they had another means to defend themselves.
Just as Xador can focus his magic abilities through his staff, Atlanty can focus hers through her glaive giving her a weapon almost as capable as Damanicus's scythe.
