I started around 12/2002 when my brother give me microsoft 2001!picture it that is where i learn. I like to help others in art showing them there a better way of doing things. Not just past a image thougth a filter and post it.But take the image a add to it// cut// bend the colors and make real art.Use layes and lays of images. each showing what is under it. blowing your mind as you make it hopeing others will look at it and say that far out man BIOborn on Sept 23, 1951 in lake charles,la. just haveing fun dont like doing the same things over and over. It like eating you eat diff things all the time.

I was once asked to do a portrait of a dog from a crappy photograph, and they weren't happy with the result either. If they wanted perfection, they should have asked Rembrandt or Vermeer or something! LOL!

As I well know we can only use really excellent photos as references and if a good likeness is needed, and if we are provided with sharp detailed photos, then our art can give a true likeness of the pet. I think you did real well here Jock, it is never easy working from poor photos. Very well done my friend. hugs Jane xx

Even if he is dead, and the photo not the best. I think you've made good the real nature of the dog. His owner loves this just as surely as he loved PopEye. Really fabulous painted!

you caught the special characteristics of this dog: expression and eyes with a great question in his face! and I know how difficult it is to show this but you were successful! fantastic painting, Jock! ;o)

Very nice paint!

Beautiful brushwork and warm feeling for the dog. Hard to do portraits, particularly of beloved dead ones. People remain attached and expect the painting to summon feelings that thay had about the actual creature.

Very nice.

Fantastic painting and marvelous creation my friend !!!

I could always agree, it depends on the photo. I remember painting a portrait of my grandma and she wanted it in color, the photo was taken in 1922 when she was 18 years old.

Hi buddy. Fantastic painting! I had no idea you painted. I couldn't do this in a million years. That's why I love Poser so much. I can't draw or paint to save my life. Very excellent work!

A very gentle and warm portrait, Jock, you did very well with that difficult photo you spoke of. Your tones are warm and amber-filled, with red undertones. And your blue background is very restful, and a sweet contrast to the dog. Plus I love your flowing strokes surrounding the dog, as if he were surrounded by a big lake...You captured a dog's expression through and through. And as for painting for clients---I haven't done nearly as much as you (and I can't paint nearly as WELL as you!), but I do know what it's like to satisfy clients. They can change their minds, ask the impossible, etc. But it's a very gentle, loving portrait, and your broad strokes and restful colors make for a touching portrait of man's best friend.
