"Springtime in our Back Yard"
I love our backyard in the springtime. Flowers bloom, the Flowering Crab trees and Bradford Pear trees burst forth in glorious blooms. The HedgeApple trees green up, and everything looks and smells fresh. I mowed the yard today for the first time this year. Growing grass in the back yard is a challenge. We have 22 trees in the back yard. After all the leaves fill out, it is so shady and cool that grass struggles. We love to sit out on the deck in the mornings and evenings, drinking coffee [or soda], listening to the breeze in the trees, the birds singing, and the beauty of nature. Although we live in town, the trees are so dense at our back fence that we can't see the houses beyond, making it like a park or our own little forest.
