Description

The setup scene .. huge. You see the 2 sailboats ? I did the mountain (upside-down), the dome, barrier, the green areas (trees) ,the water... Modified a lot the city (Millennium city) (removed the whole centre). The main tower is a part of a huge space station And added the space port and the ship (Kibarreto) The ship is going to land at the spaceport (animation)

This is a really cool scene. I'm blown away by the magical city (am I wrong to flash back to Argo City, which was blown away from Krypton in the original continuity -- it's where the first Supergirl came from in the 1950s). There's such a magical quality about the buildings -- I'm very impressed. Unfortunately, the placement of the space ship kind of breaks the magic. Because it is larger and closer, it is competing with our eyes for the center of attention... and it's losing to the brightness of the city. Oftentimes tension between dominant elements in an image can create energy, but in this case, they are de-energizing the image by canceling each other. I suggest moving the ship farther away, or turning it at a sharper angle away from us so it looks like it's heading toward the city. Right now it looks like it's on a trajectory to pass the city, and that really doesn't do any justice to the story you're trying to tell here. BY THE WAY: I just realized that it is possible that the ship has docked with the city. If so, then my problem is one with scale. The ship just doesn't look big enough to be that large next to the city. The details on the ship make it look like a shuttle of some kind, which should be much smaller in comparison to the city. Anyway, now I'm rambling. I think this is a really cool image and thanks for sharing it with us.

In the animation the ship is not at that position Here is a small preview (far from final version - Here no lighting, cosmic cloud moving, no sound, etc) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjuAFqKuqk8 (Best viewed in HD)
