An UK-olympus-friend told me: these little birds are also named:
"Persies"... named after a dutch soccer-player, who plays in an UK-team (Manchester United, I thnk)
I laughed when this was told to me...
Dutch people will only understand when they know the english name of this little one : Robin (= the forname of van Persie),
because : when I translate the dutch name of this bird by the letter.. it would be : red-breast... I wonder if Robin van Persie would like it when we name him red-breast !
