Description

This started just as a technical exploration, but I liked the result - it only took around 90 minutes to model everything from scratch, texture it, render it and apply some postwork, including using a depth pass from the render as a depth of field effect. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you like it! Phil

Very cool! I love the flowers. The technical experiment appears to be a roaring success! :) Maybe you can share some tips about it in the forum with the rest of us? I'd love to know more about your process for modelling, shading and lighting these flowers. Did you model them using replicators?

Really nice Phil. Personally, I'd bump the translucency of the petals a bit more. The shadows are a bit dense to my eye. But this is just me rambling... :D

Hi Mark, Thanks for the comment. I already added some translucency to the petals, but maybe it needs more - I appreciate your feedback!

Looks really nice. Not sure if you used a replicator. If you did, adding just a tween of rotational "noise" would be interesting. Like Mark, just rambling. Every flower I've ever made sucks. These are great!
