I recreated a volcanic eruption on Mars J'ai recréé une éruption volcanique sur Mars. Olympus mons Olympus Mons (Latin for Mount Olympus) is a large shield volcano on the planet Mars. By one measure, it has a height of nearly 22 km (14 mi). This makes it the second tallest mountain in the Solar System, behind the central peak of Rheasilvia, an impact crater on the proto-planet Vesta, which stands slightly taller. Olympus Mons stands almost three times as tall as Mount Everest's height above sea level. Olympus Mons is the youngest of the large volcanoes on Mars, having formed during Mars's Amazonian Period. Olympus Mons had been known to astronomers since the late 19th century as the albedo feature Nix Olympica (Latin for "Olympic Snow"). Its mountainous nature was suspected well before space probes confirmed its identity as a mountain. The volcano is located in Mars's western hemisphere at approximately 18.65°N 226.2°E, just off the northwestern edge of the Tharsis bulge. The western portion of the volcano lies in the Amazonis quadrangle (MC-8) and the central and eastern portions in the adjoining Tharsis quadrangle (MC-9). Two impact craters on Olympus Mons have been assigned provisional names by the IAU. They are the 15.6 km (9.7 mi)-diameter Karzok crater (18°25′N 131°55′W) and the 10.4 km (6.5 mi)-diameter Pangboche crater (17°10′N 133°35′W). The craters are notable for being two of several suspected source areas for shergottites, the most abundant class of Martian meteorites. _____________ Olympus mons Olympus Mons, nom latin pour « Mont Olympe », est un volcan bouclier de la planète Mars situé par 18,4° N et 226° E, dans les quadrangles d'Amazonis et de Tharsis. C'est le plus haut relief connu du système solaire, culminant à 21 229 m au-dessus du niveau de référence martien; des altitudes supérieures sont encore très souvent publiées, même récemment sur des sites institutionnels américains tels ceux de la NASA, mais relèvent d'estimations du xxe siècle antérieures aux mesures de l'altimètre laser de Mars Global Surveyor (MOLA) et fondées sur un niveau de référence des altitudes martiennes alors inférieur de 4 à 6 km. Olympus Mons s'élève à 22,5 km en moyenne au-dessus des plaines environnantes, dont l'altitude est inférieure au niveau de référence. Depuis la fin du xixe siècle, cette gigantesque formation était connue des astronomes comme une particularité à fort albédo avant que les sondes spatiales ne révèlent sa nature montagneuse. Son premier nom, Nix Olympica, en français « Neiges de l'Olympe », lui a été donné par l'astronome italien Giovanni Schiaparelli.

Magik, il s'agit d'une présentation sensationnelle que vous avez créé. J'ai apprécié apprendre sur Olympus Mons, et les éruptions sur Mars. Les éruptions volcaniques sur Olympus Mons sur Mars sont beaucoup plus grande que celle de la terre.

Fabulous work on the eruption! They need to scale the picture better looks like the base is only about 2 1/2 times longer than the height of the mountain making it's base only about 50- 60km long or the mountain 400km high lol..
