I've been to Majorca, and I was told that it looked a little like Sardinia, though they said that Sardinia was more lush. I just looked up Villacidro on a map, and I see that there are beautiful mountains right next to it. I didn't know people build into the mountainsides like this---this is a beautiful shot, Alida. It's another of your sweeping yet intimate landscapes. The houses, back there, seem blanketed by big fleece blankets (the trees); and your composition frames those buildings with two big swaths of leaves, and that beautiful set of branches and trunks in the foreground. The multi-colored branch that cuts into the center of the shot---and covers part of the houses---is a beautiful 'accent', very dramatic, like an aria. And the background is an ocean of trees and small buildings. A stunning shot, just stunning. Once again, you pay great homage to your home, and we are fortunate to witness it through your eyes. Truly beautiful.
