Description
Captured 4/27/14, at the beautiful Renaissance Faire, held at the beautiful Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area, in semi beautiful Irwindale, California.
This is so droll. Apparently, someone needs a crash course in sign painting. There were more than a few enterprising individuals about with signs similar to these advertising their various services.

These folks dress up and role play because they like the camaraderie of it all. Your images show them happily doing their thing. You've captured the spirit of it all. Well done:)

Yes, I agree with what Bill said, you have captured the faire spirit very well indeed; everyone seems to be having a great time. I love seeing your shots from here!

The advice is free, and worth every penny! (Thruppence for representation must be for small claims...)

With others (above), you must have a way about you, because you've gotten joyous portrait after joyous portrait. Two wonderfully human expressions, with the top guy looking so comfortable while dressed like a duke; and the lady looking joyous, as she solicits everyone's help. I agree thruppence must be for small claims---I doubt she goes to the Supreme Court. And some fine backgrounds too---in the bottom one, there's an esp interesting woman, far left, in period costume while the boy next to her---her son?---is in modern dress. Many such fine juxtapositions in this series. And re the signs---lol, I made signs for a living for a while, and your comment made me laugh: I'd be driven out of town if I made signs like that! I guess they weren't big on "presentation". But they make for a very fun set of shots, esp as their signs are so NOT Renaissance. Another wonderful mix of different periods, styles, and people, Harry.
