Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Nice shot Bill and you have just committed yourself to the dreaded Garden Center - wooooow.

Is that "bus" what you've been driving around the US with? Looks like a big home on wheels! My first impression (due to the paint scheme) was some sort of carousel/merry-go-round. I can hardly imagine a better way to travel in comfort, except finding parking for such a large vehicle. And one can have as much clothing, food, other stuff along (imagine, no cattle class on an air line, no disturbing passengers on a train or Trailways bus. Great!). Thanks for the photo. I see you've been living well. :-)

Oh Honey ... thank you!! You're the best husband anybody ever had in the whole world. Even though we won't be there until Tuesday, you really are taking me home for my birthday. This has been a spectacular, splendid, marvelous, wonderful trip, and I've enjoyed (almost) every minute of it. (I could have done without that tornado business, but aside from that, it's been heavenly!) But it's time to be home, and this image does my heart good. Thank you a million times. !!!

"There's no place like home.....There's no place like home..." For Tara's birthday, I thought I'd quote from a famous story about Kansas, and a young lady's adventures with......uhh.........tornadoes! LOL What a great shot, Bill! It does look very inviting and peaceful! Give Tara a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY hug from Jo and me!

This is a very inviting sight to see and a promise for more good things to come ... I also love the swing on the left, what a nice way to relax and to read a good book by, Just think, you have survived all that bad weather which I have been following on our TV news, nightly! BTW - that's an impressive RV ... BB Bill, I would love you to have a look at Jeff's (jif3d) latest post, no need to comment - [we are not fishing for votes] ;)) but you might be interested to see this one - and I didn't even know such a plane existed at all, I just find it really super!

I see that Tara really loved this. It's a beautiful gift! (I'll be posting something later on.) But I remember this, and yet when I saw the logs in that late light shot, I forgot everything. I'm totally confused. Where are the logs? And this is the deck, right? So what were you looking at in the other shot? Well it doesn't matter, this is a formidable beautiful motorhome, and the spot you've carved out for yourself is beautiful as well. You really have a little world in that deck. And I assume that's an awning of some sort on the image's left? (It looks like a telescope.) Nice shade. Beautiful trees in back of it. (That's a big motorhome. That's a biggggg motorhome. I mean, in this context, that's big. I know there are bigger, but that's no trifle. That's no VW bus.) You have very sweet light in this shot, very restful....and lots of restful shade too. A very sweet shot, with the stairs leading to the motorhome: Very nice touch. A very nice birthday gift for Tara, and I hope your summer is splendid out there!
