Description

This is just normal water hole traffic in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in SA. Tara, this is for you to wish you a very happy birthday for the 11th and to tell you how much I would love to take you and Bill on a safari! I miss you so much! Hugs, Carin

Very nice Carin. I'd love that too, but the heat would kill me. I am not tollerant of the sun.

The heat there can unfortunately be epic - around 38C - 42C. The good thing is that it is dry heat!

I also don't do heat well, but I'd chance it if you'll sign me up for the safari too. Love the racing stripes on those guys with the sharp headgear! And do you think the jackal would let me scratch his belly? LOL! Wonderful shot of some creatures most of us will never see in real life!

Fine photo of these water hole denizens, Carin. I have the name of the long pronged beasts on the tip of my tongue but still can't come up with it.

I love the gemsbok's mask, and you've captured them so beautifully! A wonderful scene, and one I would love to see in person. I'll be happy to take you up on your offer of a safari! :) Lief jou baie, Dierbaar. Danke!

"Hey you! Yeah, you! Take a number!" Those jackals, always cutting the line. Great shot and a wonderful dedication for Tara.

Lol that is why i prefer going in winter to the Kruger park. It feels like summer time in winter. I can just imagine how hot it can be in the parks summer time. Superb capture and dedication for Tara. God bless.

Beautiful markings on the left Gemsbok - can I assume that a single jackal would not bother a pair of Gemsboks?
