Description

The Temple of Hadrian dates from the 2nd century but underwent repairs in the 4th century and has been re-erected from the surviving architectural fragments. The reliefs in the upper sections are casts, the originals being now exhibited in the Ephesus Archaeological Museum. A number of figures are depicted in the reliefs, including the emperor Theodosius I with his wife and eldest son. The temple was depicted on the reverse of the Turkish 20 million lira banknote of 2001-2005 and of the new 20 lira banknote of 2005-2009 (Source: Wikipedia). This picture was taken on 2 July 2013, Sig...

Oh my ... what a place! You'd never get me out of there, and I'd end up with a hundred shots of the building from every conceivable angle. LOL!

Impressive-looking classical ruins. Someone absolutely needs to turn this into a set of 3D models for use in Poser and Daz Studio. I'd like to imagine that the portal behind the archway leads to a staircase which in turns leads down into some ancient and mysterious subterranean world... ;)
