Re. coming-up with titles for our photos: Your titles are fine---they tell us what the photos are, or what they feel like. The important thing is the photos themselves, and yours are beautiful. (Consider poor classical composers, btw: They have to name things "symphony number 3" or "sonata number 14" or "prelude and fugue in d major". Or consider Bela Bartok, who had plain names like "Music for Strings, Percussion and Celeste". I sometimes think it would be easier to name our photos "Flower Number 15 in C Major"...we wouldn't have to spend so much time finding interesting names for them...) You're one of the only photographers who could make a dried, dead flower so beautiful. Part of it is the detail of the flower---and I'm glad people are zooming your photos, because when we see this close up, it's a whole ganglia of thin star-bursts and stems. They're all "packed" inside that flower, like it was a treasure-chest. And you have a few of them in the background too, faded, as if from dreams. The rest of the background is a dream of grasses and stems and small wildflowers and big rocks---your beautiful countryside, faded to make it look like a tapestry or a big painting. It's a beautiful shot of a dried flower, you brought out richness from a dried plant; and your background here is almost lush. I'm sorry I am away from RR so much, and then I can only do a few galleries per day when I'm here: But I see everything you post, and often several times per image; and you remain one of the wonderfully sensitive, sweeping artists here. This is a terrific photo, Alida. It's always a pleasure to be here.

Even if the flower is dead, it still looks beautiful. An excellent shot with fantastic details.
