Description

So far out west in Florida it's almost Alabama, is Perdido Key and Perdido Bay. We stopped to wade in the surf, and I took this picture with my phone. Check out the May Photography Challenge: Selfie/Mobile Phone/Webcam for a fun and different sort of challenge!

Emerald green water! It is quite beautiful. Cell phones are just way too good. Of course, it takes a great photographer to know a good shot when they see it.

Beautiful colour, the water looks quite inviting; do they have sharks there? Or just jellyfish?

The color is what draws me in, that and the implication of warmth; I love the name, but of course it got me to thinking about Perdido Street. Funny how associations work. This is really fantastic. I can almost hear it; and I have to say that I love the sound of surf!

A really lovely surf capture, Tara! I can almost hear the waves breaking! I'll have to dig something out for that challenge - i almost forgot about it while we were at the lake...

That should be the white sand area [at least before BP]. Pretty.

Well the colours are breath taking. I am really taken by the pristine emerald green of the surf and its perfect contrast with the deep ocean blue. You can feel the power of the waves as the plow into the shore.

This is so wonderful in full view, Tara! How peacefully perfect and the colours encompassing all of the earth's tones. Spectacular scene, my Friend! How well you've captured the movement of the waters!

Beautiful colors & you did a great job of catching the wave right before it crashed. Impressive for a phone shot...

Your phone makes fantastic images. What for me is the most spectacular to see, is the sea with its green and white. What a splendid contrast, and clear looking water movements. I'm a bit jealous when I read Bill and you were in this wave ;-).
