Credits: Another in my Brigitte's Roses Collection, once again featuring a rose named Elvis, that begins as a pink and green bud and blossoms into a big luscious all white rose when in full bloom. I find it so interesting how this rose transforms so dramatically as it grows, much the way humans change as they mature. Created in Photoshop using rose photo references, doves (modified) by jaguarwoman, and painting techniques. Special thanks to Brigitte for her lovely rose photos. Brigitte's Rose Garden

the pinks and greens in the lower portion stand out, feel new, and are a fine contrast to the whites above and around them. You even have some pure green leaves which are run-through by your usual sensual brushwork. And a very dark leaf at the bottom, as a fundament. I love your brushwork on that leaf, and on the companion leaf next to it...The whiter petals, in addition to being filled with your usual undulant brushwork, open up into very broad petals which eventually merge with the cosmos around them---they're all related. And I see greens on top with pinks on bottom, to frame the middle whites with their sources. The two birds celebrate both stages of these roses. And the whole is infused with your varying brushwork, like energies morphing across the whole. I really like the connection to the lyrics about dreaming and finding light through pain and struggle. The image would be complete without that, but with it, it's a special gift. More beautiful work from you, Carol.
