Description
HR Giger (1940-2014) died one week ago.
He is best known as the designer of the 'Alien' in Ridley Scott's 1979 film of the same name.

Did not know he had died :( View him a bit like Klimt or Bacon. I did not agree with everything he did but he was such a powerful artist it was impossible to not be inspired by his work. Excellent photo.

Requiem for Necronomicon... it was a shock when I discovered his work in the 70's.

Fine shot. Definitely one of the most talented & creative artists of the last half of the 20th century. His bio-mechanical style reflected the increasing integration of humans & technology & spawned many imitators...
