Description
This museum houses life and earth science collections (approx. 70 million items). There are five main collections: Botany, Entomology, Mineralogy, Palaeontology and Zoology. There is so much to see here!!
Ever since my first visit to this place as a kid, this scene sums up what this museum is all about for me. As soon as you walk through the doors you are greeted by this huge skeleton of a Diplodocus Aka 'Dippy', which sits in the central hall :D

Superb photo. My boyhood home was near New York City. I have the same view in my mind's eye from the lobby of the New York City Museum of Natural History on the edge of Central Park. Hope to visit London one day...will keep this great place in mind.
