So, I finally have my new machine up and running - whew!! Before the passing of my old computer, I whipped up this simple render as a test for rendering speed comparison, and as an easy way of testing the new system and making sure that my runtime all ended up where it should ;) With all the shadow maps, hair, textures and shaders, my old girl took about 6 1/2 minutes to render this, and my new girl took less then two. This pic is the result from my new system, and is a straight render with no postwork, save size and signature. All that being said, at the moment I'm a very happy girl!
