Hi All,
I have dabbled in computer graphics for many years, renewing my interest when I discovered the community on Renderosity, many years ago now. Thanks for all the friends, support, comments and just views! I hope that you like what you see, and don't mind my endless experimenting and daft sense of humour!I have become something of a champion for Carrara and believe it to be one of the most comprehensive and best value 3D packages available. I became known for my extensive use of Carrara's dynamic hair and 2010 has seen the release of a number of commercial Carrara hair products. I have also recorded a whole series of video tutorials for Infinite Skills Inc available over at Daz and also here:http://www.infiniteskills.com/training/learning-carrara-7.htmlOne of my other passions is music and I used to be keyboard player with progressive rock band Manning (2008-2009). I was delighted to make my recording debut on "Number Ten" released early 2009 - I also had a big hand in designing the CD cover and booklet! I am now writing and recording some demos of my own music. Thanks for looking - have a great day! Phil

We're gonna need a bigger render farm... ;-)

That is amazing. How many instances are there ? Was rendering a bear on this? Great work, would be interested to see how this works!

A lot of the apparent complexity is down to the Instance Randomizer and having objects specifically designed to work with it, to give a huge number of variants from a single master object. There are only actually five different building designs, with normal and tall versions of each, making ten buildings in total - although through clever design, it looks like loads more. The rest is down to duplication and replication of those. It is therefore surprisingly light on system resources and renders quite fast.

cool cityscape - great concept and pov!

Impressive diversity. Great job

Great looking cityscape, like the vehicles. From a design point of view when I tried this found it easier to manually create the city blocks and then replicate the blocks rather than individual buildings. Just needs a Godzilla now.

That's just what I did here - great minds!

Awesome work, quite ingenious use of the replicator. I don't have any plugins yet, but I'm started to get interested...
