Feelings are hooks
The little ones you can actually pluck from under your skin
And then you're done. Put a band aid on it and you're good to go.
Then....you have the big ones.
The ones that aren't so easy to remove.
You have no idea how to get rid of them
And even after you get rid of the hook
they leave a scar so big you can't help but be reminded
And in a sense, you're still hooked.
