Description
This plant had been growing (in a pot) on our deck for several years, but has never bloomed before. Then, a couple of weeks ago, a few blooms appeared. We didn't know what it was, but a gardener friend came over & told us it was a lupine. The only lupine I was familiar with was the wild variety, which as far as I knew, was always purple. Live & learn...

very beautiful plant/blossoms. I have seen them here but none as big as this one

It's not that big - I took this from very close with my lens set to macro focus. This bloom is about 8 inches tall.

This is a beautiful flower, indeed! It was worth the wait!

What a beauty! They do come in other colours, although the blue/purple is the most common. I have heard that they take a few years to bloom, so that might explain why you've only now got flowers.

It's lovely! What a pleasant surprise to have it bloom when you didn't know it was going to. :) I really like the way you've lined up the flower with the tree behind it. Nicely done!

It is a beautiful color and good thing that you kept it all those years!
