Description

Ultra Fractal 5.04 plus Painter X3. This is a revisit of an image first rendered from UF in early 2011. At that time I was attracted by the potential "houses" shapes but otherwise everything was too much of a confusion of shapes and colours for it to be easily developed into a picture. In particular the shape of the "bridge didn't stand out though the curves were actually existent. Thus the picture was left unresolved until last night. As to the bridge itself you may gain some idea of how it was previously obscured by noting how the shapes of some of the uprights continue into the three upper buildings though they have been recoloured to fit the overall design. In general the edges of the original colour blocks have been retained both for constructive interest and to possibly give a little visual complexity. They are entirely removed from the dark, sky areas for compositional reasons. Cliff (hopefully in helpful mood).

Mm! I like the "Glass City" idea. I hadn't thought of that.

Well done, Cliff! Like Bob, I'm reminded of that video of the bridge that started to sway to the wind because it had the same resonance. I seem to remember it was somewhere in South America, but I could be wrong there. So a swinging bridge?

A swinging bridge sounds good musically (Friday night seems to have become Music night on BBC 4 [TV] so I watch, listen as a regularity to the consternation of my pillows. I'm not too sure if it becomes a swaying bridge. That's "get off" time - and quickly. Our famous local Clifton Suspension bridge is closed anyway when the wind enthuses. Sad if you're on the wrong side.
