This is good, I use Vue myself and just some constructive criticism. It looks like your setting are a little off and the water is far to bumpy, dial down the turbulence and ramp up the render settings.

I like the scene, you've set it up very nicely! I agree about the water, it has a strange repetition in it. Before changing the render settings, check you atmospheric settings first. In light tab, check what the quality boost setting is at. If it is a negative figure or zero, try setting it to 1 or 2 and see if that gives you a better quality render. Also in the Sky, Fog, Haze tab there's a quality setting, if that is negative or zero you may want to put it a bit higher as well. Often going to a higher render setting doesn't help much if the atmosphere and lighting isn't set up right. I render all of my images at Final quality, even those I use for print. Setting my render quality higher doesn't give me a better image, but improving my atmosphere does do the trick.

yeah I don't think i need better render settings, as you say I think my atmosphere setting was a bit low on this one, haven't worked with vue in awhile so getting back in to it again :) I think the atmosphere setting was at -1 thanks for the feedback :)
