Sorry that such a sad event was the inspiration for this. It is however a really superb image. I love the details of the textures and the realism. It also has a surreal quality about it.

I'm sorry to hear about your Aunt Grace. I lost a good friend to pancreatic cancer in 1999 (she was the third of four deaths in two years ... it was a bad time) ... and yes, it IS a roll of the dice. Who gets it, how effective the drugs, survival rates ... dice, indeed. This is a superbly well done image (of course) and so evocative. Sending hugs your way for your loss, and a nod of recognition of the experience.
