came across this poor hydrant - definitely in need of some TLC

No doubt! People actually have permission to paint the hydrants here, I think. They actually had a competition once too. It was a patriotic thing. Red, white, and blue. My sisters did one. It came really nice with white stars around the top. They didn't win though. The competition was obviously fixed. LOL.

Naaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Just slap on a new coat of paint and she's good to go! LOL! Looks like that's the standard procedure. :-) Hmmmm. I wonder what color we should paint it THIS time? If we chip away a little we can see what color we haven't used in a while. Sorry. I'm just in a humorous mood Mike. Thanks for sharing.

I would be very surprised if that paint didn't have a very high lead content! Excellent capture. Funny how we try to cover things up the easy way sometimes. Sure shows what happens when you cut corners too often!

I'd say it would work Mike, but if it didn't and there happened to be a fire and subsequent litigation, it would cost the local authority dearly. This is a great capture Sir!
