Description
Hello:
I present to the Heinkel He-111 B, on his first day in my virtual airfield.
Early versions of this aircraft were used by the Legion Condor in the Spanish Civil War.
This first version does not have the characteristic appearance of the glass nose to the "greenhouse" asymmetric from those used in the second world war style versions.
This plane, nicknamed "Pedro" in the Spanish war, was evaluated favorably and happened to be the standard medium bomber of the Luftwaffe. Later in the Battle of Britain, with the opposition of a modern fighter aircraft, their poor defensive armament low speed and maneuverability were evident.
Pilot by Neil Wilson (BF-109, I think).
