Description

I stopped at this Salt Fork Arkansas river to take some pictures when I seen the debris floating in the water. the only thing I can think of is there must be an obstruction in the river upstream causing the water to foam and there being so much sand, it gets on the foam making it appear to be all sand. the day before the area had a heavy rain Eastern Phoebe is a small passerine bird that you see. I will show their nests tomorrow

Good theory. Makes sense. Especially about the sand. And the birds? They look too small to be turkey vultures. Maybe you guys call them something different out there though. Are they seagulls?

That is a really odd phenomenon. I think you're probably right about the cause.. A very cool shot, Richard!

Foam like this normally means some pollution upstream somewhere.. Shame. But the birds are lovely and are members of the Swallow/ Martin family.. Good shot mate! Rob
