Description
Ryota reaches the third check-point in the 6.2k speed swim event at the Black Guard Academy. Though Ryota is unaware of the intense scrutiny he is under by Senior Instructors, Ryota gives110% in everything he does.
The Senior Black Guard Staff publish the 'Ryota Physical Fitness Scale' after Ryota graduates. The Ryota Scale becomes the standard for all off-world Cadets for hundreds of years to come.
Not a single future young off-worlder Cadet ever arrives at the Academy without the Ryota Scale (available at all major book stores and required reading prior to arrival) and wondering how they can meet such exacting standards. Many Cadets are sent home with the option to try again next year.
Ryota violated the Fox families most cardinal rule; never be first, and never be last.
Fox often jokes about Ryota being the first off-worlder to attend the Black Guard Academy.
"See what happens when your first," Fox teases Ryota. "Now you are the standard of male fitness for all time, and they will all hate you for it."

Outstanding image and story - considering the circumstances, I don't think it would be any good for Ryota to finish in any place other than first, simply because he is/was the first off-worlder to become a member of the Black Guard. I don't think they, the Senior instructors would accept anything less from him. While he may have 'violated' the Fox family rule it was meant to be violated by Ryota

Isn't that the truth, being either first or last brings out peoples hatred for different things, fantastic scene and character, outstanding work!

Marvelous! Being first has a lot of responsibilities and sets the bar for the future at nearly impossible heights, but Ryota can handle it.
