Description

The Scales of Justice (book mockup) ---------------------------------------------- by XOTT originally created: 27-APR-2014, then worked on: 8_9-June-2014 created with: Poser Pro 2014, (and rendered in), postwork ======================== about: ------ This little project is a spin-off from my "Glow of Overlife" project. www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=2529991 and www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=2529993 Since I went to all the trouble of posing that Wyvern on a sphere in Poser, (something I did separately, then imported that into the main scene), it looked nice on its own so I decided to come back later and work on just that to make another little separate scene. I wanted it to look like some sort of 'standard', or statue, or whatever. There's a 2D background added in postwork that I made to make the entire thing pop and appear more 3D and not have a blank black background. Other than some sharpening of the Poser render especially after I resized it all down from my 4000x2250 resolution I was working in, that's about it. : : But then I decided how it might look as a book mockup, something I always like imagining, and so I set about making a mockup based on some actual self-written fiction (that nobody sees) that I've been doing for quite a number of years. So I've made a second image using my "The Scales of Justice" image, and it's a bookcover mockup/book presentation promotion thingy. (it's not a real promotion because it's not been released at all of course). I used Kutters books & magazines product because it's got some nice objects in it that I could make a 2D image to wrap it over with. It was the first time I used this stuff but maybe I'll make myself some texture templates next time from the OBJ files rather that just relying on guesswork and trial & error. The design of the book cover is all mine. I wanted something dramatic, and one that if, you luckily had the other 3 books, then you could stack them (or file them vertically), and still be able to see and easily pick out which novel is which in the series. :-) ** special note: I've changed the character names etc on the bookcover so nobody steals things and I end up seeing them in somebody's real-life book or movie later. (it happens far more often than you think). :-\ BTW, this image is a 50% quality jpg because the 70% version (my usual quality posting level) made the filsesize beyond Renderosity's gallery limits. - It's not much of a hit but there's some slight fuzziness, especially with the "Special Edition" tag image section on the book.
