Ok, I don't know what this insect is but I know that someone will !!!
Seen today at East Lambrook Gardens Somerset.

He's a new one to me. According to wikipedia, "In England, it is presently in a markedly expansive and consolidational phase, which commenced during 1995." Lovely capture! He's positioned perfectly to stand out against the white petals. Beautiful dof and composition.
