Description

Happy birthday Dave.I hope has been enjoyable what is unique about this Ford, it has a Ford engine(289). the majority of Ford antique hot rods has Chevrolet engines. I was told by a custom mechanic shop that it costs too much to build a Ford engine I took this in Petit Jean State Park in Arkansas outside of the car museum

Richard, thanks a million for this super cool birthday present. I've always loved classic cars, and can't think of a better present to get. My Dad has always loved Ford's and used to tell me all about the 1948 one he had long ago when he was starting out. The only reason he could afford it then was because the engine was damaged, and he had hopes of fixing it up. As he told me he prayed for God to help him get it fixed up, and less than a month later they moved into a rental house near the army base in California. The owners told him there were some old junker car parts in the back he could get rid of if he wanted in order to clean the place up, and to his surprise he found everything he needed among those parts to get the old Ford going. I'm going to take my computer to the rehab center tomorrow and show him this photo, so thank you for this.

Actually think it's more of a size thinking. Easier to fit the Chevy block in. It's a 60 degree block verse Ford's 90 deg. So is narrower and allows more room to fit in the engine bay.... Excellent old Ford .......
