Description

I have always been in love with the graceful lines of these large J Boat designs of the early America's Cup Races. Originally modeled for the Vue community, I have now released a Poser version for those using this and other applications that can make use of the obj files of Poser runtime structure. The model is worked up into 3 props, the vessel, the sails, and a dry dock. I always thought that the hull was so graceful, so interesting in itself, that I wanted to be able to compose a picture of it out of the water. What better way then in dry dock and all the possibilities that it brings. When I modeled this, I wanted something a bit more detailed that the usual sailboat where it was thought to never be composed in a closeup. Modeling for my own canvas efforts, I will be working up the many deck figures that will make this a final composition for me. It is now on sale in my store. Enjoy

Don, you had made another masterpiece. I know how difficult it is to create these "pure" shapes. I hope that the Poser community will make a great sales success! Hat off!

After making this Poser conversion, I really need to start working on figures for the deck. Been holding off because the crews were large. I hope some find the idea of a drydock work scene interesting...BTW, your old vehicle model looks great in my dry dock scene done a few yrs ago.
