Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

The presents keep on coming !!! ;)) and that makes me very happy, when I am discovering every day these wonderful new little morsels, sort of 'out of the way' - and not so regular to find as one would imagine - this cute little threesome is practically glowing with pride and lighten up my face ;))) THANK YOU very much Bill, you just seem to know - that I really like the unusual photos and you couldn't have wished for anything better ... "Life is good at the top" ;P - and it's amazing what you find on your travels, keep on roaming Bill, it's worth it ! Cheers my friend, BB

What a beautiful card for Brigitte! Those flowers are such a great color, and since they're at Sunnylands, they're undoubtedly something quite special and exotic. Wonderful image!

I've had a cactus in my window for years; it never bloomed till just now. I had to move it outside since it was getting too big for my window and the dang think just took off. It's full of yellow blossoms and is gorgeous. Hard to believe such a prickly, nasty plants can be so beautiful; you really caught those details in this shot!!

Wonderful Gift.... Aloha

Oooh, in zoom this is a burst of a shot! Almost like something made with lights inside it (like a glass sculpture, or as if it were underwater where the light permeates everything). Just beautiful how those orange flowers burst out like pure light. I love it. And the bokeh on the other grasses, petals, etc, is just right (as is the background). And your one-sided composition, with the mass of plant-stuff on the left, somehow makes those flowers stand out all the more, because the space on the left gives them strong contrast. This is a big burst, to me, big, bright, prickly, and beautiful. (Btw, I just realized there are 5 "b"s in that sentence---not intentional, but in line with Brigitte, blondeblurr and "BB"---in fact it's the same number.) A really bursting shot---I love it! And, from all I've read of Brigitte, fitting for her and for a trip that's coming up? Some big vacation? Well Happy Birthday Brigitte, and many more! Beautiful job, Bill. You even got some pink in those background leaves, which harmonize with the main flowers...Love this shot.

An excellent zoom to see the details in these three blossoms. Nasty looking 'fish hook' thorns!
