My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

Fabulous work Tara

Cool stuff; I still haven't had time to figure out how to do these. (You know how I am about that kind of stuff!!) I know the emu is supposed to be the focus, well I guess he is, but it's the guy in the green jacket that jumped out at me. At any rate, I love these and this one is way cool!!

I have to agree, Mr. Green Jacket does stand out. There is a lot to take in here. The two emus seem to be presiding over scenes of destruction. Attack of the giant emus? Outstanding work. Looks like you had a lot of fun.

I love a good Emu and a random sampling of things--sampled, randomly, in such as way as to completely side-step the whole "conscious choice" thing. And wow! What a result. I love the fact that there is a bit of order to this: not conscious or anything, but really sort of just...well...you know what happens when a system gets more and more complex? If it gets complex enough it sort of tips over to this other level and starts doing things you didn't think it could do. I think this image is doing that and I suspect it'll just go even farther in that direction with 12, or 24, or 48 images...get too many images together though, and you run the risk of emergent intelligence, and if it's emu-based, it might not be entirely friendly. CUTE but not really that friendly. I've been doing this overlay thing for a bit now, too...I can't stop fiddling with it. Most of mine are just any random six, though I do make a conscious choice to include at least ONE human focus shot...but that's because I'm on this weird book-cover kick too. So anyway, now that I've gone on and on, I suppose I should say what I came here to say. This rocks. I love the internal logic of this image and I think that's the wonderful surprise that comes out of something truly random. There's so much to see and I love the way things blend into one another, overlap, and slide around. It's very dynamic. I'm sure that doing this was fun, because it's really fun just looking at it and figuring it out and finding all sorts of fun connections between this and that. I wonder how many stories live in here.

Very exciting! I really enjoy visual puzzles like this, and the reasoning behind it makes sense where there might otherwise be none. Great fun! I have yet to give it a whirl.

(3 ebots because I corrected a mistake!) I didn't check out the actual pics only so I could spend the time commenting instead. Besides, I've done this enough times that I understand the many wild ways one can get random samples. The central idea is to "be given" some materials, and then make art out of it! (We did this in music, when we were given recordings of birds, wind, street sounds, actual melodies, and old synthesizer sounds---ie, sine waves---and told: COMPOSE. And they wanted something fine, not just to throw it in a blender and pour it in a glass. It's absolutely freeing, and can be very inspiring and stretching.) You've turned this into a glowing whole, the bannister with that "v" above it---dead center, top---acts like a unifying arch to the whole piece. The lights balance each other off. The lights are luminous and the darks are strong contrasts. The emus glow around the edges, which suits your highlights beautifully, here. You've transformed a lamp on the left to sing with the grasses on the right (upper half). The human beings are delightful, with a bird on the bottom---the one people were struck by because of its hues?---acting like a strange anchor to the piece. (It looks almost human!) This feels like a collage made by one's grandmother to be handed down for the family, for generations...things the family wants to keep, 'keepsakes' and such. A really lovely job, Tara, you've got this random-blend thing down, and I hope you keep doing it. And if you let this sit for a while (marinating, maybe? it would be great if art did that), I hope you've got others in the queue. And you know, in this blend thing on RR, now, everyone has their own unique way of doing it: which shows that, even in a so-called chaotic act, we all bring our own 'voice' to it. Point is, this is a Tara piece through and through. Beautiful.

It's so hard to follow Mark; he says just about everything there is to say, but what resonates most with me is that this truly IS a Tara piece, it screams your name all through it. I still haven't tried this, I really must give it a go... Well done you!

Amazing work Tara. God bless.

Fantastic creation !
RodS
Well, this is an interesting and quite lovely blending of your wonderful photos, Tara! I like the result very much - so much I may even try one (or two) of these myself. This is delightful, even if the emu is still having a bad hair day! LOL

Aah, you did it again, my friend, and what a superb result, one can watch it for a long time. So interesting!
