Hi All,
I have dabbled in computer graphics for many years, renewing my interest when I discovered the community on Renderosity, many years ago now. Thanks for all the friends, support, comments and just views! I hope that you like what you see, and don't mind my endless experimenting and daft sense of humour!I have become something of a champion for Carrara and believe it to be one of the most comprehensive and best value 3D packages available. I became known for my extensive use of Carrara's dynamic hair and 2010 has seen the release of a number of commercial Carrara hair products. I have also recorded a whole series of video tutorials for Infinite Skills Inc available over at Daz and also here:http://www.infiniteskills.com/training/learning-carrara-7.htmlOne of my other passions is music and I used to be keyboard player with progressive rock band Manning (2008-2009). I was delighted to make my recording debut on "Number Ten" released early 2009 - I also had a big hand in designing the CD cover and booklet! I am now writing and recording some demos of my own music. Thanks for looking - have a great day! Phil

trees look very good, many thanks for the tip, and a lovely scene and render in carrara
PhilW
Thanks, Paul. Since the export from TreeSketch is in OBJ format, you can use these trees in DS, Poser, Vue or anything else which will import OBJ.
ClockworkEros
They are very nice; wish there was an Android version...
PhilW
I hear that so much...

Strewth mate, how long did that take to render? Fantastic scene though worth every minuet of it!
PhilW
Total render time was around 2 hours, so not too bad given the render settings and the complexity of the scene.
restif
excellent, how high poly was the tree? Did it render faster or slower than Carrara trees?
PhilW
This tree was around 50k polys. I haven't done any tests but I would say that they render around the same speed as Carrara trees.

Fantastic scene Phil :)

Great work on this. How many instances of the grass are there?
PhilW
The grass was done in patches and I think there were 5,000 patches in a surface replicator and a similar number of the white flowers.

Excellent, but alas I don't have any I-stuff. Love the composition, the serene looking pose of the model really adds to it. Nice.
