Description
Captured 6/15/14, Father's Day, adjacent to a taco stand on the Los Angeles Waterfront.
One of 493 photos recorded on two cameras that memorable day, with the overwhelming majority using my Canon PowerShot SX20.
I took tons of boat and ship pics, which are still in the process of postwork, but couldn't hold off uploading this one of the blonde lovely, permanently sporting that fabulous work of art on her equally lovely skin.
Worth a ZOOM.
Adios, amigos.

A superb art work.

Excellent capture of the lovely lady; I don't really like tattoos like this, but everyone has the right to decorate themselves how they want. I think they may regret it in their later years when flesh shifts around and things don't look quite like they do now!

As I've said in the past, when I skip, it's not because the 'ignored' pieces are any less---not at all!---but because I'm trying to get a good sampling. So please keep that in mind. There are umpteen uploads crying out at me, believe me... As a capture of your subject---this wild tattoo---it's spot. In fact, the words on the right say "spot on," lol: Nice harmony. And it's a fine tattoo; and I like that it's on one side of her body, not on both. You captured it with real clarity. And her back is a swath of beautiful flesh tones---a big 'island' of restful tone in the midst of this very intense shot. It's beautifully composed, in other words.. But the overall shot seems to resonate with the squiggly nd eye popping energies of the tattoo: The sign on her right undulates, which makes it in perfect harmony with the tattoo. There are layered colors in the left background (top) which harmonize with the tattoo, in electric feel. (It's great that you cropped that in, rather than out---even that sliver is all we need to create the harmony.) And you have the collision of all those hues around her---bottles (maybe?) under the sign on the right---great accents---and the hues and lines of the people's clothes on the right. In the midst of all that, she's the dominant "open landscape" in the center---her flesh tones contrasting the high-contrast hues around her. It's got all the principles of fine journalism: The subject is ever clear and present, and the surrounding rings with human and other activity, making her the peaceful center. And visually it's a big symphony. Love this shot. Your people photography has been eye popping and symphonic. You even chose to crop in her green-tinged hair---the only occurrence of this day-glo hue in the whole shot---and it adds just the right tingling to the piece, like the frosting on the cake. And btw, your crop---allowing yet still cutting-off these powerful accents at the edge of the frame---only accentuates the journalistic "in the middle of things" feeling all the more. The piece bursts.
