this looks like a strange form of Hieroglyph writing in the sand definitely weird and wonderful

It comes in the shape of a wind-blown 'Tree of Life', I have actually seen Indonesian wallhangings looking just like that, and with some birds added here and there ... great find and well seen Mike, and thanks for your good wishes for the trip of a lifetime, BB

I might be wrong, but I think this is someone's name, written in "Wind", which is a really complicated language...but not quite as loud as Sea, which is a very dynamic, and somewhat difficult language. This is a fantastic find, and I love the way it looks like something you'd see in a Middle Eastern desert, which usually means there's a whole city under there! This is great!
