Description

Vue8Frontier/Photoshop Well, after a lot of swearing and tears(mostly swearing),and more than a few brewski's,here is the tankership docked at the high altitude refinery platform. This is the fourth version of the platform model, all previous versions would not reload into Vue after initial save. All modelling done in Vue,with the exception of one elbow pipe that I modelled in Wings3D...the figures are the MU14 maintenance worker from Daz3D. Smoke and some further staining of structures done in Photoshop, along with signature. Not sure if I want to try re-opening this scene for fear of not being able to load it again, but at least I saved the platform in various stages as both files and vob's.

Nice image! Hmm. Not sure I want to try modelling in Vue, assuming I ever get back to making stuff.

By the sounds of your troubles, perhaps Vue is not the best modeling tool? The resulting image is great, but yikes! That sounds like way too much work for something you can potentially only render once! I am going to guess that the elbow is the one coming out and down from the tower in the lower right?

Cool image, but perhaps looking for a modeling application that doesn't cause such headaches would do you go good :)

Fantastic render... and I salute your ability to model something in Vue as I know how difficult that can be...
