looks like both are metal the way toys used to be made. when I was young, my mother got some metal toys for me from a charity. my opinion only but I think they were more durable that what we have a choice of buying now for the real thing. I know they would be worth plenty of money now

A great close-up photo and I think that I have a few of my old metal matchbox cars but certainly not this nice! Very basic and rough molds!
