I've been doing art for a long time. I use to do my work using an airbrush and standard paint brushes, but now use only the computer. I have a MFA degree in painting, but make my living doing graphic design. The work that I do using the computer, looks almost the same as the work I use to do using an airbrush. I've now use AI images to start with and fix and modify them. Except for the ability to create an image a whole lot faster, all that has changed is the clean-up. "click".

oh gosh, now another Rendo-website dysfunction... I have not been getting notices for your art, Bob... :( Then too, been gone a few days when things got so wonky in the marketplace... ANYWAY.... I like this! - that is probably not the kind of comment that says anything significant... but I looked full screen, and read what you wrote... and It all works together! Looks like a painting! :)

ok, last comment on the night, and i'm ever so glad to have made the time to sift & sift again through your gallery. i mayn't be overly fond of the new layout to this site, but it is infinitely easier and more enjoyable to visit an individual's gallery than it was before the un-making... it seems that your aesthetics and mine have quite a bit of overlap.
and i've no idea if this piece took lots of time or not, but its simplicity has me thinking that it very easily may - so oft, the more simple a presentation, the harder it is to get there, the more complex it is behind the scenes so to speak. but it is the simplicity of this that speaks so loudly to me, draws me in. i don't know if it is the styling/painterly aspect or not, the colours, the overlaying of background elements or whatever else my eyes are seeing, and to be honest, i'm not inclined to break it down -- i want to see it as a whole, not in bits & pieces, not as a thing to pick apart and re-assemble; i don't want to break the spell...

Lots of layers in Photoshop and use of some plug-ins and brushes. This actually took a while to do. When I print it out, on cotton rag paper, I use colored pencils to enhance it even more. Each piece then becomes a unique mix medium art piece.
