A male Cordulegaster boltonii in my garden.
I am very lucky to get visits from this beautiful boy around my pond, as they prefer running water.

What a beauty! Trying to work out what cordulegaster means. Gaster is Greek for belly I think, hence gastronomy being the art of filling it!!!
