Description

In our state, the person over our rehab permit is so paranoid about rabies that we spend a lot of time making fun. I took this picture of a friends dog, Katie for a card. The inside went like this: I have told you and told you not to come around me! You are a raccoon and we all know that ALL of you have rabies! Now look what you have done... You are in so much trouble! And for heaven's sake, get that lady bug off of your head. Now we have to test it for rabies too!!! Anyway, I am not going to be able to resist sending this to the person over our permits for his birthday....yes, I am aware I am a trouble maker. You have to understand. He is a coon hunter. He hunts them for the sole purpose of killing them. For the record, we have not had raccoon rabies in our state for several years. None of the raccoons turned in for testing over that last several years have been positive.

The idea of killing a creature just for the sake of killing it is appalling to say the least I say that as a hunter. Cute picture and great narrative Have a great weekend
